What a Rabbit Hole of Blogs Did to My Whiteboard

Lately I have been going through blogs - one led to another, which led to another. That is the thing about good blogs, they pull you in. It started from the Pure Blog roll, a directory of blogs built with Pure Blog, and every now and then I check the roll to see who has joined and explore what people are writing. That is how it started.
Ended up on Cafélog, then Manu's blog, then Camiel's blog. Manu had started something called the "Step aside, phone" experiment - a bunch of bloggers committed to reducing their phone screen time and shared their stats every Sunday. Honest, personal, no fluff. Reading through it made me think about my own relationship with my phone and how much time just disappears into scrolling. Then somewhere along the way I stumbled upon a fitness journey someone was just writing about - figuring it out as they go.
By the end of it I had a whiteboard full of ideas. Good blogs are dangerous like that.
Here is what I am planning to bring to this space:
Every Sunday - Screen Time Share Inspired by the "Step aside, phone" experiment - every Sunday, sharing how the week went. Screen time, phone, laptop, all of it. The goal is simple - reduce the mindless scrolling and replace it with something more intentional. Accountability in public hits different.
Fitness Challenge
Something I am looking forward to starting. Not ready to talk about it fully just yet but it is coming. Will share more soon - tagging it #fitness so you can follow the journey as it unfolds.
Run Log Interested in tracking my runs but not quite there yet - no smartwatch, no setup. Someday. Putting it here so I do not forget.
Pod Roll Honestly do not know much about podcasts yet. How it works, what is good, what sticks - all of that is still to be figured out. But I want to explore. Open to suggestions - hit me up.
Books Love reading but finding the time and knowing what to pick is the real problem. I have time to scroll though. So the plan is simple - replace one with the other.
Excited to get these going. Some will start sooner than others but they are all on the radar. Watch this space. 👀
